This session supports organisations to understand how bias shows up in systems, behaviours and decision-making — and how to take practical steps to reduce its impact and create fairer, more inclusive workplaces.
Participants will learn how to:
- Understand what unconscious bias is and how it develops
- Recognise common types of unconscious bias and how they appear at work
- Identify where bias can influence recruitment, interviews and selection decisions
- Understand how bias affects performance reviews, progression and access to opportunities
- Reflect on how assumptions and habits can shape workplace behaviour and culture
- Apply practical strategies to reduce bias in interviews, meetings and decision-making
The session is interactive and discussion-based, using real workplace examples and case studies to support reflection, learning and action.
A Q&A session at the end allows participants to explore challenges relevant to their own organisation.
